The Earths’s oceans cover 70% of the planet’s surface and contains 96.5% of all water on Earth. The largest ocean on earth is the Pacific ocean which covers around 30% of the planet’s surface. The ocean goes deeper than you think, the deepest part of the ocean recorded is known as ‘the trenches’ and the deepest point reaches 11 km.
The ocean is home to so many wonderful animals, creatures, and beautiful coral reefs that need protecting from pollution, global warning, and from the damage humans cause.
Whilst swimming in the ocean it is important that you can keep yourself safe and respect that the ocean is a marine animals’ home.
